Animal Clinics and Young Living Workshops – February 2011

Dr Melissa Shelton, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Howard Lake, Minnesota USA ran a very informative 2 day workshop on the use of Young Living 100% therapeutic grade essential oils in treating animal ailments and conditions – specifically birds, cats and dogs. She swears by the use of Young Living products and spoke of the fantastic and numerous examples of results she has witnessed via her veterinary practice.
Nola and I were captivated attendees. We observed the relaxing effects of spraying the Rain Drop technique (distilled with water and sprayed from about half a metre away) on birds.
Going against the grain that “essential oils should never be used on cats”, Melissa has been successfully using 100% therapeutic Young Living essential oils on thousands of cats for the last couple of years with very positive outcomes. She has modified the Rain Drop technique to produce an effective Kitty Rain Drop treatment. However, please take caution here. I have successfully used tailored dosages of the Young Living essential oils on horses and dogs several times over the past 6 years. Sinuses, bruises and cuts have responded well to treatment.
